Overview

What We Think is a collective journaling project. We collect only what’s needed to share product updates and invite you to participate. Your reflections are always anonymous unless we clearly ask and you clearly consent otherwise.

Information we collect

  • Email address when you join the waitlist or newsletter.
  • Basic technical data automatically from our hosting provider (e.g., IP address, browser type) to keep the site secure and reliable. We don’t link this to your identity.

We don’t use invasive tracking. If we add privacy-friendly analytics later, we’ll update this page.

How we use your information

  • Send product updates, early access invitations, and our daily newsletter once the site goes live (if you opt in).
  • Operate, secure, and improve the website.
  • Respond to questions or support requests.

How we share information

We don’t sell your data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the product:

  • Kit (formerly ConvertKit) for email list management and double opt-in.
  • Vercel for hosting this site.

These providers act as our processors and may store data in the U.S. or other regions. We require them to protect your information and use it only to provide their services.

Anonymity & content

If we share community insights or quotes, they are anonymous. We remove names and identifiers. You can opt out of emails at any time via the unsubscribe link.

Legal bases (EEA/UK users)

We process email data on the basis of consent (you provide your email and confirm via double opt-in). You may withdraw consent at any time.

Data retention

We keep your email until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. We keep minimal logs for security and to operate the site.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data. To exercise these rights, email hello@whatwethink.app.

Children

Our service isn’t directed to children under 16. If we learn we’ve collected data from a child, we’ll delete it.

Security

We use HTTPS and reputable providers. No method is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

Changes

If we make material changes, we’ll update the date above and, when appropriate, notify subscribers.
